There are many different germination methods for marijuana seeds, but not all of them bring us the best germination rates.
We have checked the most important marijuana companies and seeds banks to find out what is the most reliable germination method for weed seeds. We have browsed over top cannabis companies as Maximum Yield, Leafly and many more, to know what germination method they recommend.
Before you start germinating your seeds, check them carifully, seeds should be mature and ready for germination. If you are not sure take some pics just in case, and send them to your weed seeds provider.
Pay atention to the colors, if they are pale-green or white probably wont germinate. Another bad simpthom is if you can crash it with your fingers. A healthy seed is dark and hard.
Put some kitchen paper towels in a plate, moist them with distilled water, add your seeds and separate them enough. Then cover the seeds with moist paper towels.
Hint: don’t soak them too much, remove excess water.
Now cover your seeds with the other plate to get the proper conditions for germination. Darkness, oxygen and humidity are crutial to reach the best results.
Hint: Let space between seeds for better germination rates.
This is the one of the most important things to get succesful results. Put your seeds in a warm and paceful place. Somewhere arround 22ºC (70-90ºF)
Hint: over the fridge is a warm good place.
Check your seeds everyday to ensure they are moist. Spray paper towels with distilled water if necessary. Keep them moist.
Hint: depends on the strain type and if you have properly done all steps, germination can take from 1 to 5 days.
When your seeds have sprouted, its time to plant them into a moist growing medium. Make a hole 6 millimeters or 1/4 inch deep and place the sprouted seed root down into the hole, then cover it lightly.
Hint: the depth of the hole should be twice longer than seed sprout.
